In contrast to the dosettes, card and pouches systems sold up to now, our system allows for the first time solid and liquid drugs to be dispensed in one tray. This enables us to provide a full supply without time-consuming dispensing of the drugs, transferring and droplet counting. This relieves the staff and leaves more time for the important care.
Almost every 2nd to 3rd home resident (33 - 50%) is prescribed liquid medication. A current study, accomplished of Hilse Konzept and the FiGuS GmbH with the topic "Supply quality and economy of liquid dispensing in nursing homes" came to the result that in medicine preparation with a sealed-cup system per inhabitant 9 to 15 minutes per day can be saved. For a facility with 100 residents, this results in a savings potential of over 7,600 € per year.
During the development of the Medinoxx Medication Management system, special attention was paid to pharmaceutical quality. For verifcation, we have aquired certifcation through many testing methodologies. In addition, all components of the sealed-cup system are manufactured in Germany and Austria using state-of-the-art production methods.
MoreTobias Schwab: We enjoy working with the systems from Medinoxx. Due to the reclosable trays we are very flexible in case of a change of medication. The basic adjustment of the basic medication is no longer necessary, manual dispension is only necessary when changes and needs occur, thus allowing time for other activities that arise in nursing.
Ute Höynck: We have been absolutely convinced users of the Medinoxx Medication Management system from the very beginning. Regarding patient-specific solid and liquid management, it already opens up revolutionary ways for a supply system that guarantees patient safety, hygiene and transparency for both solid and liquid drugs. An essential advantage for us lies in the variability and adaptability of the system to the needs of the nursing home or the end user. Similarly, the change of medication is simple and pragmatic, without risking a loss in quality.
Patrick Kliemann: I looked at almost all medication management systems – including all pouches, cards or other cup-blister systems, including manual, partially or fully automated – none has convinced me more. For me, Medinoxx is the innovation in the medication management arena.
In the context of sustainability and environmental protection for future generations, careful handling of raw materials is of particular importance. Following this credo, the new medication management system was developed. Medinoxx is the first and only system that uses reusable trays and thereby sustainably protects the environment. The Medi cups are made of single-variety plastics and can easily be fed into the recycling cycle. In comparison to similar medication management systems, up to 95% of the plastic waste can be avoided within a period of 3 years.
